On social media, users have recreated the late legend’s iconic style.
Raquel Welch, 82, passed away on February 15 from an undisclosed illness. She was one of the most recognizable sex icons in cinema.
Several notable people have paid tribute by recreating or reposting photos of themselves with Welch’s now-iconic look from the movie “One Million Years B.C.”
The classic look that Welch depicted in the film has been used as a memorial by a number of celebrities for years, and many of them have reposted the image on their social media pages since her passing.
Model Emily Ratajkowski was one of the celebs who tweeted photos of herself wearing the now-iconic fur bikini for a Halloween party in 2018. She dressed as Welch’s character from the aforementioned film.
“That picture, that poster of her in ‘humanity’s first biкini,’… I can’t get enough of it as a reference.” I think it’s great. “It’s a little bit quirky and fun,” Emily said at the time.
She included two photographs of herself and two images of Welch with the description, “Raquel Welch, One Million BC.”
Like Welch, Heidi Klum, another supermodel, is a master of costumes and has become known for drastically changing her appearance every Halloween for numerous years. She used a picture of herself in a bikini as the source.
This picture is from an article Klum did for GQ in 2002, in which she posed as several celebrities from the world of film and television. In her initial post, Klum only provided a link to Welch’s Instagram account (which can be found at @therealraquelwelch).
Terese Giudice, of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ who was a huge fan of the actress before her untimely death, also participated in the tribute. In 2016, Terese participated in a photo session and
