Influencers drown at yacht party after refusing to wear life jackets

Tragically, Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria, 27, and Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, 37, two Brazilian influencers, drowned at a yacht party off the coast of Brazil.

Their tragic deaths occurred uncannily close to what is ominously known as the “Devil’s Throat.”

According to reports, the influencers decided against wearing life jackets because they believed it would obstruct their tanning and photography.

“Some didn’t want to put them on because they were taking selfies,” said Marcos Alexandre Alfino, the commissioner of police. According to the Daily Mail, there were concerns about overcrowding because the yacht was intended for five people but was actually carrying six.

When the overloaded vessel was struck by a strong wave on September 29, it became too heavy to keep afloat. As the boat started to sink, the skipper, who was apparently under pressure to take all six influencers, tried to save everyone.

Unfortunately, Aline’s body washed up at Itaquitanduva Beach a few days later, while Beatriz’s body was discovered first by Brazil’s Maritime Firefighters, drifting out to sea.

A number of survivors related specifics of the horrifying experience. As she clung to rocks, Vanessa Audrey da Silva, who was able to obtain a life jacket, recounted the terrifying moments.

“No one was able to see anyone in the water for a while. According to the Mirror, she recounted, “I was fighting for my life.”

Camila Alves de Carvalho, another survivor, struggled against powerful waves while clinging to a life jacket. “We nearly died,” she said. We didn’t know how to swim,” she said, adding that she was hurt and ingested a lot of water.

According to reports, Vanessa and Camila were among the three survivors, along with Daniel Goncalves Ferreira, Gabriela Santos Lima, and Natan Cardoso Soares da Silva.

On the picturesque coast of Brazil, they had all assembled for what was supposed to be a lavish yacht party, where they would cruise and drink together. They later divided into two parties to head back to shore, and the unfortunate group met their demise as the wave struck the overloaded boat.

A official investigation has been launched to determine whether negligence or recklessness played a factor in Aline and Beatriz’s deaths.

“All of this is being determined very calmly to conclude if the fatalities were based on recklessness or negligence,” Commissioner Alfino clarified. Authorities are investigating the role of safety violations because the two victims—one of them, Aline, was unable to swim—were not wearing life jackets and the vessel’s maximum capacity had been disregarded.

In her last hours, Aline, a single mother, posted pictures of herself posing on the yacht on social media. Her final posts, which depict her having fun at the party and in the Brazilian sunlight, serve as a chilling reminder of the risks associated with putting one’s social media persona ahead of one’s personal safety.

Authorities are still looking into the matter in an effort to hold everyone accountable.Tragically, Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria, 27, and Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, 37, two Brazilian influencers, drowned at a yacht party off the coast of Brazil.
