Akiane Kramarik’s “Prince of Peace,” an ethereal painting of Jesus that she created when she was just 8 years old, was revived as a masterpiece after being stolen, mistakenly sold, and left in the dark for 16 years.
Akiane, a 28-year-old best-selling author, businesswoman, and philanthropist, has stated that she was inspired to create her masterpiece, “Prince of Peace,” which depicts a “profound role model for humanity,” by a recurrent “visionary inspiration.”
One of the pieces she showcased on the Oprah Show when she was nine years old was an inspired picture of Jesus, titled “Prince of Peace,” created by her especially meticulous brushstrokes.
It’s clear that you’re gifted. From where does this originate?Akiane was asked by Oprah.
With confidence, the young prodigy answered, “It comes from God.”
In an interview, Akiane, who was ten years old at the time, was asked how she knew it was God speaking to her.She explained, “Because I hear His voice.””He has a lovely, quiet voice.”
Surprisingly, Akiane was raised in a small Idaho town by a non-religious family who never discussed religion.
There was more going on than just painting. “A spiritual awakening coincided with art,” Akiane’s mother, Forelli Kramarik, who was raised in an atheistic Lithuanian household.Everything started when she began to express her visions and dreams. Additionally, my spouse did not share the family’s convictions because he was a former Catholic. We didn’t attend church, we didn’t pray together, and we didn’t talk about God. Then, without warning, Akiane began discussing God.
According to her mother, Akiane, who was homeschooled and did not have a television or babysitters, was not influenced by anyone outside the house.Since we were constantly around the children, we were aware that Akiane’s remarks regarding God weren’t external. But all of a sudden, there were heated discussions about God’s love and His role in our lives, and she would go into great detail about everything.
According to Akiane, the painting was inspired by a dream she had as a child.
She first planned to illustrate her views through poetry and other literary works, but in the end she concluded that “it was too complex to describe through words so I painted.”
“I always think about Jesus and talk about Him,” she stated. After searching for a [Jesus] model for a very long time without finding anyone, I finally advised my family to pray for this model all day long in the hopes that God would send the ideal one.
After the family prayed, a very tall carpenter and craftsman who looked like Jesus arrived at their door looking for work. Akiane thought she was going to faint when she first saw him.She thought, “I told my mother that was him.””I want him to serve as my role model.”
Based on a vision she received of a carpenter, Akiane created the priceless artwork known as the “Prince of Peace.”
When it was stolen, “Prince of Peace” was en route to an exhibition; for a young artist, the painting’s vivid and accurate skills were astounding.
When Akiane got it back a few years later, sawdust from the shipping procedure had covered it, so she carefully wiped it off.
Despite the family’s best efforts to share Akiane’s spiritually inspired portrait with the world, their plans were derailed due to a clerical error.
After losing a drawn-out court battle to reclaim the painting, which was then being stored in a dim staircase, Akiane sold “Prince of Peace” to a private collector and focused on creating other pieces that would later win him international praise.
Akiane clung to the notion that she would one day be reunited with her “Prince of Peace” after using her gifts to lift her family out of poverty.
Meanwhile, she visited over 30 countries, teaching art to the people and sharing her message of spirituality and peace with different groups. To preserve “Prince of Peace” in people’s memories, she sold more than 100,000 prints.
A miracle took place in 2019.
The unidentified family that shelled for $850,000 for “Prince of Peace” is reportedly “one of the world’s most distinguished and esteemed families.”
The new family considers itself to be the original’s stewards. They believe it is their duty to preserve this masterpiece for future generations so that its tale might influence the lives of millions more people.
Nearly two decades later, Akiane dried her eyes, dropped to her knees, and carefully unwrapped her amazing “Prince of Peace.” In a recent interview with CBS, Akiane responded, “It was amazing to me,” when asked about her favorite piece of art.”To finally see this in the light after all these years.”
“It’s still surreal to me,” she added. I won’t lie.Love has such strength. The individuals who need it the most will always receive it on schedule.
The Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas is hosting an exhibition titled “Akiane: The Early Years,” which includes the well-known artwork “Prince of Peace.”
