Juliet Mills, 82, is happily married to ‘Grease’ idol 18 years her junior. Their love story will inspire you…

A former child star is crazy about her much younger lover, who just recently told her how he feels about her. Even though they’ve been criticized, the couple has always stood up for their love.

Jane Mills, 82, has been married to a guy 20 years her junior for more than 40 years. Due to their big age difference, many people wondered if their relationship would last.

Both of them work in the film business, and Mills’s first movie role came after she signed a deal with Warner Brothers. Funny movies like “Carry on Jack” (1964) and “Nurse on Wheels” (1963) have small parts for her.

But she didn’t really become famous until 1966, when she shared the screen with James Stewart and Maureen O’Hara in the western “The Rare Breed.”

In 1970, Mills got her first lead part in the TV show “Nanny and the Professor.” ABC ended the show after only two seasons, even though it became very popular very quickly.

In an interview many years later, the actress talked about her favorite parts of the comedy show. “I’m pretty proud of it, and I remember it with a lot of love,” Mills said.

A candidate for a Tony Award, Mills said that people often recognize her voice and say, “Hey, Nanny!” this way. She believes that the family show made people happy and brought back happy memories that are still fresh in their minds.

The child actress met her now-husband, Maxwell Caulfield, through her acting work. At the time, Caulfield was becoming more famous. Caulfield’s first movie role was in “Grease 2.” After that, he shared the stage with Mills, who would become his wife, in a U.S. tour of the famous play “The Elephant Man.”

In the show, he played John Merrick, a man whose horrible facial changes gave him the mean nickname in the play’s title. Mills played Mrs. Kendal, the actor who becomes friends with John.

During an interview, she talked about her first meeting with Caulfield and said that she felt an instant connection and interest to him. She also said that they thought they knew each other from a past life.

In the same interview, Caulfield agreed, saying that their love was “full-blown” and that they felt a strong psychic connection: “It was instantaneous for us both.” An event called “Betrayal” by Harold Pinter was their first date. Mills’ friend Natalie Wood had invited them.

Caulfield thought it was strange to be sitting between Mills and the famous Wood, who had been in “West Side Story” and “Rebel Without a Cause.”

The year Caulfield married Mills, she was 21 years old. Many people didn’t think their marriage would last. Even though the news said they were different ages, the couple stayed out of trouble.

Mills said that living in California meant that the news didn’t get much attention, and they never worried about the age difference. Even people who were close to them, like Mills’ father, didn’t think it was a problem.

He told her, “It doesn’t matter,” when she told him about her ex-lover. No matter what race, age, or gender, a partner is anyone you meet who you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Mills said, “And that’s what I found.” “Now our critics can’t say anything.” The actress never felt older than Caulfield, even though she had been married twice before. He was passionate, protective, and her best friend, she said.

Caulfield even planned their wedding, which included a sunrise service on a cliff with a view of the Pacific Ocean at Point Dume in Malibu and a small party at Mills’ home in Beverly Hills.

By putting up fairy lights and archways, he turned the land into a beautiful setting. His proposal was also very sweet; he pulled two birds out of his tuxedo pockets. “She brings out the romantic in me,” Caulfield wrote.

In a recent interview, the star said that his wife, who is 44 years old, keeps him young. They went to the famous #ENOCarousel event in April 2017. “Alfie Boe and Kath Jenkins demonstrated great conviction; their vocals were not too awful either!” Caulfield wrote about his thoughts online. “Beautiful theater.”

He also put up a happy picture of the two of them on X, and fans loved how friendly they looked. “What a beautiful picture!” said one person. Another person said the same thing: “You two lovebirds look great!”

In December 2013, Caulfield posted another picture of the happy couple with the words “Right side up!” Someone wrote to them and said, “What a lovely couple.”

Mills and Caulfield overcame the problems, showing that love can grow even when people are different ages and the public is watching. Their long-lasting friendship shows what real friendship and love are like.
