In Oklahoma, a country radio station made news when it refused to play Texas Hold ‘Em. One listener was even told, “We do not play Beyoncé on KYKC because we are a country music station.”

Why Kelly Clarkson felt bad about the snub

The song “White Horse” by Stapleton won Song of the Year, and “You Look Like You Love Me” by Ella Langley and Riley Green won Musical Event of the Year. The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award was given to country star George Strait.
