Witnesses said she had a reaction after being told the food was fine to consume. According to X user @hideyagrannies, she allegedly asked to be brought to a hospital in the moments that followed, but everyone appeared to “take pictures first.”
“She was my mom’s best friend for ten years,” @hideyagrannies asserted. Everyone told her that there were no peanuts in the food when she inquired about it.[..] So depressing. [sic]
While emergency services were being contacted, reporters on the scene saw Brown receiving CPR. Later, in a public statement, the event’s organizer, BoxLunch, affirmed this.
The firm said on December 7, 2024, “We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles.”
“We will do everything we can to support her family and friends, as well as the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team, during this difficult time,” they continued.
According to a source close to the event, BoxLunch had already informed the venue of the participants’ allergy issues, and 911 was contacted right away. An impartial inquiry of the event is currently being carried out by BoxLunch.
Additionally, the business has provided grief therapy to employees and members of the BoxLunch Collective, the influencer group they frequently work with.

They added, “A genuine beacon of light within the Disney community, Domo’s enthusiasm, sense of style, and passion for everything Pooh made her unforgettable.” “She won “Fit of the Week” numerous times for her amazing shoes and clothes, but it was her joy and warmth that really stole the show.”
“Our hearts go out to her family and especially to our brother Zay,” they said, adding their sympathies to Brown’s loved ones. For everyone who knew you, your love and happiness was a tale of style, happiness, and inspiration that was nothing short of a Disney fairytale. Don’t worry, Domo. She commented in her Instagram account, “Seeing everyone’s posts about sweet Dominique just goes to show how impactful she was to so many people.”
