According to sources, Dave Boyce and Bob Ahlander, two BYU students at the time, formed the nine-piece acapella ensemble BYU Vocal Point in 1991.
In addition to swiftly being incredibly popular on campus, the group finished fifth in the third season of NBC’s The Sing-Off.
The group announced a record agreement with Decca Gold, the classical label owned by Universal Music Group, in 2018. One of the group’s members, Jason Bromley, stated: “We’re just regular college students doing amazing things.”
Now for their rendition of You Raise Me Up, which is a true celebration of their undeniable talent and capacity to use music to create moments that will never be forgotten.
The quartet expertly blends their harmonies and infuses their voices to create a genuinely magnificent impact as they traverse a mountainous backdrop in the number’s music video.
