Actor Carson Boatman of Days of Our Lives and his spouse, Julana Dizon, have had their first child together.
The married soap opera stars announced that Ava Rey, their gorgeous baby daughter, was born in Los Angeles on Monday, December 18.
The couple announced the wonderful news and the name of their baby girl in a joint Instagram post on Friday night.
In their caption, the new parents exclaimed, “Christmas arrived early this year.” “We can’t wait to see what this next stage of life will look like for the three of us, and we are so in love with our sweet baby girl, Ava Rey.”
Over the summer, the couple had already announced their pregnancy on social media.

That same day, they talked to People about how, up until they became parents and welcomed their child into the world, they felt that something was “missing” from their lives.
The couple, who got married in 2021, exclaimed that they are “absolutely over the moon” about the new family member.
The new parents told the newspaper, “It really feels like we’ve found something we didn’t even know we were missing in our lives.”
“It’s really something more than that, but the only way I can think to describe it is pure joy,” they continued.
“Being selected to be Ava’s parents is a blessing and a source of humility,” they added. “We have gained tenfold in love, but we are now lacking in sleep.”
The two also talked candidly about the unique significance of their daughter’s name.
They disclosed that Ava’s middle name, Rey, is in remembrance of Julana’s late father, Reynaldo Dizon, who lost his fight with lung cancer only a month ago.
The couple, who were married in 2021, raved on Friday about how happy they are to have a new family member and shared the particular meaning behind their daughter’s name.

The good news for Julana and Carson comes after a shakeup at his soap Days of Our Lives, where co-executive producer Albert Alarr left the program due to allegations of sexual misconduct and a petition signed by 25 cast members demanding his dismissal.
