Scotty McCreery’s 2-Year-Old Son Proves Talent Runs in the Family with the Sweetest George Strait Tribute

Not surprisingly, Scotty McCreery is immediately exposing his 2-and-a-half-year-old kid to George Strait’s music.

McCreery is such a huge fan of The King that he wrote a full song called “Damn Strait” in his honor.

However, it appears that little Avery wants to attempt singing Strait’s songs himself and isn’t willing to just listen to them.

Off-camera, McCreery and his son can be heard honoring the King of Country in a cute new video that appears to have been shot in a studio. When Avery sings a line from Strait’s 1985 hit song “The Chair,” you can hear his adorable tiny voice, and to be honest, it’s a pretty amazing performance.

“Who performs that song?” His son is asked by McCreery.

“George Strait,” the small child answers with assurance.

The camera in the clip is aimed at a pane of glass, so you can’t see the father-son pair directly. However, based on their photos that are mirrored in the glass, it appears that McCreery is holding Avery in his arms while standing in front of a studio microphone.

Avery is undoubtedly a musical child. Since he was a baby, he has performed on stage alongside his country music legend father. Last October, McCreery and his wife Gabi gifted their son a toy drum equipment for his second birthday.

Whether they were in the studio for a recording session or just spending time together as a family is unclear, but who can tell? There may be a studio duet between McCreery and his gifted youngster in the future.
