The nurse consented to bathe a disabled young man in order to save her work, but something she observed during the bath caused her to freeze in fear 
The chief physician summoned her to his office following yet another patient complaint.
You will now be a regular orderly and will solely give patients baths.
The nurse attempted to object, saying, “But why are you doing this to me?”
Patients frequently comment that you’re constantly staring at the screen of your phone.
Yes, but I need to know how my kid is doing because she is ill.
I don’t give a damn. Follow my instructions or submit your resignation.
The nurse was forced to concur. She was instructed to go to a young man’s room and assist him in taking a shower on her first day.
The young man could barely move his eyes and neck; he was entirely immobile. He had been in one place for years.
With difficulty, she assisted the orderly in carrying him to the restroom after entering the room and examining him. She added some foam, filled the tub, checked the temperature, and started washing him gently. The only sounds in the room were her gentle sighs and the sound of the water.
The nurse, however, was horrified by what she witnessed in an instant 
— My God… This isn’t possible…
Abruptly, the young man, who had been immobile for years, seized her leg.
— My God! — she jumped back and yelled. Why are you doing this?
She froze, remembering that the patient was paralyzed from the neck down, even though she initially believed he was acting inappropriately.
Her voice was shaking as she inquired, “Was that you?”
“No,” he muttered. – I took no action.
But I was just touched by you!
– I am unable to I am unable to feel anything.
The nurse phoned for the doctor in a panic. The head physician burst into the room a few minutes later. After examining the patient and touching his arm, he yelled:
That isn’t feasible! I was positive that all of his nerves had died!
He said, glancing at the nurse:
You touched his ulnar nerve by mistake. It was a reflex! It indicates that he may be able to regain his mobility!
Unable to comprehend what she was witnessing, the nurse stood motionless. The physician added quietly:
His life was just saved by you. He might resume his regular life if we begin his recovery right away.
Tears filled the woman’s eyes, and she put her hand over her mouth. She came to understand that a mere touch might work a miracle that day.
