A Jaw Harp Player From Russia's Far North Made Sounds the BGT Judges Called Otherworldly

Olena Uutai walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage in traditional clothes and introduced herself in a soft voice. She said she was from the Sakha Republic in the far northeast of Russia, and that she wanted to share her culture with the whole world.

The judges had no idea what was coming. Olena lifted a tiny jaw harp to her lips, and the theater filled with sounds that seemed to come from nature itself, from galloping horses to wild calls 😮.

The audience laughed, gasped and cheered as she switched between the instrument and her own voice.

One judge admitted he had no idea what it was, but that it was amazing. Another called her otherworldly. Another judge said it felt like she had come from outer space or from the heavens, and that it was magical. Then the votes came in, and Olena got four big yeses 🔥.
