Milton Patton was 21 and from Forest City, Arkansas. It took him two days to get to his America’s Got Talent audition, and he slept outside the night before. He said he had been through a lot, and that he works as an electrician putting up power lines, a dangerous job he does to make a living.
When he first heard country music, he thought it sounded like moping and crying. But after a bad breakup, he heard Whiskey Lullaby on the way to work and realised he could relate to it. That was the song he chose to sing 🤠.
His deep, soulful voice surprised everyone in the room, and the audience cheered him on.
Mel B said nobody was expecting that, and that she sees a superstar in him. Milton got emotional, saying how hard he had worked to get there. Another judge called him a diamond in the rough and told him that tonight was his payoff. Milton was on his way to Vegas ⭐.
