Julian Smith walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage with a soprano saxophone in his hands. It was the biggest stage he had ever played on, and he admitted he was a bit nervous.
When the judges asked about his dream, his answer was simple. He wanted to play for audiences like this on a regular basis.
Then Julian began to play 🎷.
His music was soft, warm and full of emotion. The theater went completely silent as the notes filled the room.
By the time he reached the end of the piece, the whole audience was up on its feet, cheering for him.
One judge called it absolutely stunning and admitted that crying at a saxophone was something nobody expected, and Amanda Holden was in tears. Another judge praised the look, the way he played, the soul and the emotion.
Simon said the whole idea of the show is to find someone who needs a break but has a huge talent, and that they had found that in Julian. He also praised his beautiful choice of music.
Julian got three yeses and went through to the next round. Backstage, he celebrated with his wife, still speechless and so happy ✨.
