A father and his young daughter walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage hand in hand. He introduced himself as Martin, and she said her name was Faye. She was 10 years old, and when the judges asked how old her dad was, she said she was not allowed to tell.
Martin explained that he sings for a living and has been singing for as long as he can remember. As for Faye, they had only just found out she could sing, so they decided to give it a go together 🎶.
They chose The Prayer, and the theater fell silent as their voices blended, his warm and strong, hers pure and clear.
One judge admitted that on paper a 10 year old girl and her dad singing opera might not work, but said it was absolutely lovely. Simon said Faye started off better than her dad, and Martin joked that if they put her through, he would go. Simon laughed and said he did not want to get rid of either of them, and the duo left with four yeses 🌟.
