Brock Wade was 18 and Makenna Solinger was 22 when they walked onto The X Factor USA stage. They are from Springfield, Missouri, and had been singing together for about four years, ever since they met while doing a musical.
They said they were just best friends. But backstage, Brock admitted something else. He said that when he thinks of Makenna, his heart jumps out of his chest, and that he loves her, even though she does not know it yet.
On stage, Simon got straight to the point and asked if they were dating. Brock turned red, and they both said no, just friends 😳. Then they sang Colder Weather by the Zac Brown Band, and their voices blended beautifully.
Cheryl said their harmonies were spot on and their vocals so controlled. Paula said it is rare to see two people come on stage and nail it together like that. Simon said he is not normally a fan of this kind of music, but that the voice was sensational. The duo walked off with four yeses 🎶.
