Alfie Andrew was 12 when he travelled from Manchester, England, to audition for America’s Got Talent in 2023. Nobody in his family is a musician. His dad works on cars, his mum does nails, and his auntie came along to support him.
The judges loved his cool style before he had sung a note, and he admitted he was definitely nervous standing on that stage alone. Then he started Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand”, and a big, emotional voice filled the theatre. 🎶
He handled the huge notes with control and real feeling, taking on a song that many adult singers would avoid. The audience cheered him on as the performance built to its powerful finish.
For a boy who says singing has always been in his dreams, this was the moment he had been waiting for, and he proved he belongs on a big stage. ❤️
