The Judges Asked Her to Sing Alone, and Her Duo Partner Cheered Her On

Peter and Caroline of G&S at their X Factor audition

Peter and Caroline met at work and decided to try The X Factor together as a duo called G&S. Peter brought the big personality, while Caroline seemed quieter standing next to him. For their audition they chose the Journey classic “Don’t Stop Believin'”.

The duet did not go the way they hoped 🎶. One judge did not hold back and called the performance awful. But the judges had noticed something. They told Caroline she had been looking at Peter the whole time, and that they wanted to see her and hear her sing on her own.

So Caroline stepped up alone, and the room heard a much bigger voice than anyone expected. Peter stayed by her side in spirit, cheering for his friend instead of feeling hurt.

One judge said it was ten times better with Caroline singing on her own and added that they wished they had a friend like Peter. Simon had doubts about whether her voice and confidence were ready for the real world, but another judge praised her great personality and said yes ❤️.
