Four young boys walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage with guitars and a drum kit, and the audience cheered before they had even played a note.
They introduced themselves one by one. Jacob is 14, and Noah, Tom and Jake are all 15. Together, they are a band called Chapter 13.
The boys explained that they met while performing together in the musical School of Rock. Two of them shared a room and always imagined what it would be like to be in a real band, and soon the other two joined the dream.
Then they started to play, and the whole theater came alive. The drummer hit every beat with power, the guitar playing was spot on, and the boys looked like they were born to be on stage 🎸.
The crowd was on its feet, clapping and cheering along. It sounded like a real rock band that had been playing together for years.
Then Amanda Holden pressed her Golden Buzzer, and gold confetti filled the stage. The boys could hardly believe what had just happened.
The judges praised their musicianship and their skill level, and said it was refreshing to see such young musicians play their own versions of the songs. One judge said that every kid watching at home would wish they could be in that band, because it looked more fun than school 😄.
For four teenagers who started out imagining being a band, Chapter 13 had just gone straight through to the live semi finals ✨.
