Five Lads Called Themselves BoyBand, and the BGT Judges Expected a Song Until the Music Started

BoyBand on Britain's Got Talent

Five young lads walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage at a moment when the show really needed a lift. When the judges asked their name, the answer made the whole room laugh. They were Corey, Mike, Dylan, Jaih and Mikey, and together they called themselves BoyBand.

They said they look up to One Direction and the Backstreet Boys, and that they rehearse anywhere they can, even in the street and in car parks, where security sometimes thinks they are busking. Naturally, the judges asked what they were going to sing. The reply surprised everyone. They were not singers at all, they were a dance act 😄.

Then Uptown Funk kicked in, and the five friends took over the stage with sharp, perfectly timed moves. The audience went wild, and before the routine was over, all four judges were on their feet.

The judges called them sensational and confident, and David said the routine was flawless. One judge even said that with them, the show was seeing the future. Simon summed it up simply. That was exactly what the show needed, and BoyBand were through to the semi finals 🔥.
