Dian Rene, 33, left Cuba eight years ago in search of a better life in America, and he dreams of bringing his family over. On America’s Got Talent, he explained that the Spanish song he planned was not cleared, so he had to learn the English version the night before.
The nerves showed. He struggled with the lyrics of “Waiting for Tonight,” and Simon stopped him, saying it was not fair and that he should come back with a song he felt comfortable with. 🎶
About an hour later, Dian returned with a new song in Spanish. This time he was full of energy, the audience was cheering, and he even danced across the stage.
Simon said he came back as a different person, and Dian earned four yeses. A second chance turned into a night he will never forget. ❤️
