A Shy 12-Year-Old Sang Run So Gently That the BGT Judges Called His Voice Heavenly

Cormac Thompson looked a little nervous when he stepped onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage in a simple green T-shirt. He told the judges his name and that he is 12 years old, and they wished him good luck 🍀.

He chose “Run”, a slow and emotional song that is not easy for anyone, let alone a 12-year-old standing alone in front of a full theatre.

As soon as he started singing, the room went quiet. His voice was soft, clear and pure, and he sang every line with real feeling 🎶. The judges sat still and listened.

When he finished, the audience gave him a huge cheer, and backstage Ant and Dec were clapping along.

The judges were full of praise. One said it was a brilliant song choice and that he sang it beautifully and made it his own. Another called his voice so pure, angelic and heavenly 😇.

Then the votes came in, one yes after another. Cormac got four yeses, and he ran off the stage straight into a big hug from his family ❤️.
