Milton Patton is 21 and comes from Forest City, Arkansas. Getting to his America’s Got Talent audition took him two days, and he slept outside just to have his chance 🤠.
Life has not been easy. He told the cameras he grew up around drugs, gangs and violence. Now he works as an electrician putting up power lines, a tough job he does because he has to make a living somehow.
Funny enough, the first time he heard country music, he thought it sounded like a bunch of moaning and crying. But the more he listened, the more he could relate to it.
On stage, in his cowboy hat, he explained his song choice. After a bad breakup, he was driving to work when “Whiskey Lullaby” came on the radio, and it matched exactly what he was going through. For him, this audition was everything.
When he started to sing, his deep, smooth voice surprised the whole room 🎶. The audience cheered, and Milton got emotional, saying he worked so hard and slept outside just to be there.
Mel B told him he has an amazing, unique voice and that she sees a superstar in him. Another judge added that the things we work hardest for pay off the most in the end, and that tonight was his payday. Milton walked off saying the words he came for: “I made it” ⭐.
