The millionaire saw a homeless mother with a child on his way to the airport, and his actions totally broke all stereotypes.
The millionaire was on a business trip overseas.
He noticed a homeless mother sitting close to the station with a young son when he was on his way to the airport. With her head lowered and eyes filled with helplessness and fear, the mom frantically shielded the youngster.
The millionaire immediately motioned for the driver to approach and gave the woman a key from the vehicle, saying, “This is the key to a secret storage room in my house.” Until it’s safer, you can temporarily stay here,” he replied.
The woman’s eyes gleamed with profound appreciation as she silently accepted the key.
After giving the youngster a quick glance, the millionaire asked the cabbie to make sure the woman and child were secure before continuing on his way to the airport.
The wealthy was unable to forget them after departing for overseas. His eyes were constantly filled with the vision of the defenseless mother holding the infant, and it would not go away. He wondered:

The woman was standing in a far corner, but her appearance had changed, as though someone had robbed her of her happiness and hope. The youngster was not by her side, and a small, meticulously folded note was lying on the floor in his place.
Holding the key tightly, Alexander read it:
“This indicates that we were unable to remain here, if you are reading it. I left with the child. We have to go our own path now. I appreciate the opportunity.
It broke the millionaire’s heart. He experienced a mixture of hopelessness and powerlessness. At the same time, however, he spotted a peculiar opening in the wall that he had never seen before. He went over instinctively and opened it.
There was a small hallway behind the hatch that led to another room with antique trunks and odd machinery.
One chest was partly open, but all the others were locked. Inside is a whole set of diaries and photos that document the woman’s and her son’s life, including past setbacks, homes lost, happy and sad times.
Alexander understood that his observations of the outer world were merely the beginning.
In addition to leaving him with gratitude, the woman had given him insight into the frailty of human existence and the power of accidental meetings to alter lives.
He came to see that money is not only a tool for aid but also a method of comprehension, action, and saving lives that no one else would have thought of.
In order to ensure that no youngster ever again had to sit on a chilly pavement without any protection, Alexander decided to establish a safe area that would be open to everyone who was in danger or in need.
