When the parents decided to install a camera after noticing that the flowers were fading off their son’s tomb and being replaced by new ones, they discovered something terrifying
Every day, the elderly parents went to the cemetery to tend to their 17-year-old son’s burial. They showed it affection by lighting candles, sweeping the path with care, and bringing fresh flowers.
However, they soon became aware of this oddity. They left flowers, but they kept vanishing. Other bouquets—wholly different ones, fresh, exquisitely organized, with tiny, unsigned notes—took their place.
They initially believed it to be an error. Perhaps the tombs had been misidentified? However, as it began to occur daily, their discomfort became intolerable.
They came early every morning in the hopes of catching the enigmatic guest. They never saw anyone, though, so it was in vain.
When he was alive, their son had very few friends. He was a quiet, reserved boy who stayed in front of the computer at home most of the time. The parents just couldn’t fathom who would be so invested in preserving his memory.
In the end, the father made the decision to install a tiny hidden camera, which was carefully tucked away amid the flowers to avoid detection.
They viewed the recording the following day. They were completely stunned by what they saw
A young woman with a dark jacket, long hair, and a slim build appeared on the screen. She approached the grave, placed a fresh bouquet there, cleaned the dust off the monument, and carefully removed the old flowers.
After then, she knelt down and gazed at the boy’s picture for a while, her shaking fingertips lightly brushing the glass.
She was in tears. Words spoken in whispers that the camera just almost caught:
— You are missed. I really do miss you.
The parents were moved. This girl was a first for them.
They gathered their strength and made the decision to wait for her at the grave a few days later. And the mother came up to her when she reappeared with flowers in her hands. Despite being shocked, the girl did not flee.
Do you happen to be his parents?Softly, she inquired.
Indeed. and you Dear, who are you?
The girl’s gaze dropped.
His girlfriend was me. We spent nearly a year together. He requested me not to tell you because he thought you wouldn’t like it.
She told them how he gave her daisies, the same flowers she now took to his grave, and how they used to go for walks together and dream about attending the same university.
The parents’ eyes were watering as they listened. They came to the realization that they had never known the most significant thing: that their kid had loved and had known joy and kindness during his brief life.
