Casper the Chihuahua could only squeak and squawk when he was a puppy. About a year later, his owner Pam was playing guitar and singing when he suddenly joined in, and their unusual duet was born.
Before this audition, the pair had only performed at a talent show at Pam’s work. On the America’s Got Talent stage, she sang the verses of All By Myself while Casper waited for his cue to come in on the chorus. 🎶
When the chorus arrived, Casper lifted his head and howled along with real feeling. One judge called it one of the most adorable things she had seen in a long time, while another joked that Pam was hogging the mic.
Simon said he first thought the dog was screaming, then realized Casper was actually singing. He told Pam she was not great but her dog was, and gave them a yes. 🐾
