Simon Said Their Song Was 15 Years Out of Date, So the Teen Boy Band Changed It

Connected are a teenage boy band, aged 13 to 15, and they told the judges they are all the best of friends. Connor, Harry, Max and Miles said they take inspiration from Westlife, the Jackson 5 and Boyz II Men.

They opened with I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys. Piers, who once wrote a biography of Take That, said he knows a thing or two about young boy bands and admitted the performance gave him goose pimples. 🎤

Simon was not convinced. He told them the song was 15 years out of date and asked for something else. The boys regrouped and launched into Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, and the energy in the room changed straight away.

Amanda said yes, and Simon followed with a yes too, singling out Harry’s voice. The young band left the stage with big smiles and a place in the next round. ✨
